I am one of Bukit Lawang’s most experienced and respected jungle guides, with more than 15 years of guiding in the rainforest. As a licensed and certified trekking guide, I take great pride in sharing the beauty of Gunung Leuser National Park with visitors from around the world.

Born and raised in a village bordering the park, I have spent my entire life surrounded by the rainforest and its incredible wildlife. My deep knowledge of the jungle, combined with a warm and friendly personality, makes every trek a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable adventure.

As part of the Sumatra Trekking Orangutan Team, Ucok is committed to responsible tourism. He follows ethical guidelines to ensure that wildlife is respected and undisturbed, while also supporting local community projects that benefit To Bukit Lawang.
